Dear Loma Verde Families,

Welcome to a new academic year at Loma Verde! The staff and I are thrilled to begin this journey with you in a safe, healthy, and joyful environment where every child is empowered to thrive. As a proud CVESD Community School, we are committed to nurturing a culture of thinking that values curiosity, creativity, and deep understanding.

This year, we are especially excited to focus on rigorous learning for all experiences that make thinking visible across all subject areas—with a special emphasis on mathematics. Our goal is to help students develop strong problem-solving skills, a growth mindset, and a genuine love for learning. Through dynamic, Common Core Standards-based instruction, our dedicated educators tailor learning to meet the unique needs of each child while supporting their social, emotional, and physical well-being.

At Loma Verde, we believe that learning should be joyful and meaningful. We foster an environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, and engage in thoughtful dialogue. By making thinking visible in our classrooms, we help students take ownership of their learning and build the skills they need to become confident, compassionate, and capable members of society.

This will be a rewarding year filled with discovery, connection, and celebration. Your involvement is essential to our success. We warmly invite you to participate in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), School Site Council (SSC), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), and classroom activities. Together, we can create a vibrant and supportive learning community.
